An Interventional Cardiologist, and expert in Coronary and Structural procedures, he heads the Heart Attack Centre and TAVI Programs at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. He is also Director for Clinical Governance for a large Division within the Trust.

Professor Roger Kneebone

Professor Roger Kneebone is a clinician and educationalist who jointly directs the Imperial College Centre for Engagement and Simulation Science. His innovative work on contextualised simulation builds on his personal experience as a surgeon and a general practitioner, and his interest in domains of expertise beyond medicine. He sees engagement as a translational resource which bridges the worlds of clinical practice, biomedical science, patients and society. Roger leads an unorthodox and creative team of clinicians, computer scientists, artists, social scientists and performers. He has an international profile as an academic and innovator and is a Wellcome Trust Engagement Fellow.
Dr Fernando Bello
iCAST Academic Lead, Imperial College London
Dr Fernando Bello is a computer scientist and engineer working at the intersection of medicine, education and technology. He is Co-Director of the Imperial College Centre for Engagement and Simulation Science, where he leads a multi-disciplinary research group aiming at building suitable models and simulations of clinical processes, including clinical examination, clinical diagnosis, interventional procedures and care pathways. He is particularly interested in the use of virtual environments and haptics in the context of education and training.
